Car Boot Sale in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and Christian Aid
Whitburn Academy staff who are taking part in the 40 Mile Challenge for Macmillan Cancer Support and Christian Aid are holding a car boot sale at Whitburn Academy this Saturday (21st April). The event will run from 9am- 12pm and will cost £10 per car. There will also be home baking and refreshments on sale for anyone who would like to come along.

Whitburn Academy Teachers Walk For Charity
10 teachers from Whitburn Academy will walk an incredible 40 miles for Macmillan Cancer Support and Christian Aid! The teachers will walk the 40 miles (64.3K), which is equivelant to walking from Edinburgh Airport to Glasgow Airport, in just one day in May!
The team have arranged a fun packed series of events in the lead up to the event, including practice walks, Silent auctions, race nights and even garden parties!

Community Challenge Award

On Tuesday 20th December 2011 we were presented with Macmillan's Community Challenge Award for raising the most money of all other West Lothian schools during the Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning event in September. We raised a fantastic £1152!
Runners up were Holy Family Primary, Winchburgh with £942.65 and Linlithgow Primary with £691.47.
Well done to all involved and well done to all the competing schools for raising a fantastic amount of money!

ASDA Bag Pack
On Saturday 18th February 2012 we held a bag packing event at Asda, Livingston. This went very well and we raised an impressive £430.95! Thank you to everyone who took part:

Fancy a Walk?
Walk With Us 2012 will take place this year on saturday 31st March 2012.This year we will again walk the 10 mile (16.9 Km) route in reverse, leaving from Whitburn Football Club, through East Whitburn and into Blackburn, past TESCO and into Bathgate, through Falside and into Armadale before returning to Whitburn for refreshments at the Football Club.
